Vantage, published by the California-based non-profit Center for Emerging Journalism 501(c)(3), is a magazine of criticism and analysis. Our editorial headquarters sit in the San Francisco Bay Area, though Vantage contributors hail from dozens of cities in the United States and abroad, including Spain, Canada, Italy, and the United Kingdom.
We aim for a standard of writing that meets, and often exceeds, much of what appears in the professional press. Our editorial sensibility leans left, but we are especially interested in heterodox arguments that challenge prevailing assumptions in politics and culture. We empower the voices of student and early career writers and journalists, giving emerging voices the reporting, editorial backing, and platform to publish with force and ambition.
Here is the team working for the Center for Emerging Journalism, which produces Vantage. For media inquiries or high-resolution headshots of staff members, please email us.
